The 5000 acre Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary is situated on the western end of Kangaroo Island, between the Kelly Hill Caves Conservation Park and the Flinders Chase National Park.
HANSON BAY CABINS
We are pleased to offer you a choice of six self-contained beach side cabins located 100 metres from a safe swimming beach and only a short distance from the Kangaroo Island Wilderness Trail. Each cabin features picture windows and spectacular ocean views of the rugged coast and Southern Ocean.
There are four log cabins and two modern. The cabins are located at the end of Hanson Bay Road 3.5 km from the highway near Southern Ocean Lodge and Flinders Chase National Park. Each cabin has a slow combustion wood fire.
VISITOR CENTRE INFORMATION
Our own visitor centre offers information, meals and snacks, drinks, souvenirs, barista made coffee. Open from 8am until 6pm in Spring/Summer & April then 9am until 5pm in Autumn/Winter. We also stock a large selection of local Produce and Artwork. The visitor centre is at the Koala Walk.
We can provide gourmet meals packaged to take with you. Designed for our cabin guests you simply order in advance and then pick them up at the cafe. Portions are generous. They are perfect after a long day of touring. Please contact us for details.
