Ekhidna Wines – The Cube (d’Arenberg Wines) – Leconfield Wines – Red Poles
We depart Adelaide at 9:00am and make our way south to the picturesque McLaren Vale.
Our first stop is at Ekhidna Wines where you get to enjoy handcrafted wines or sample a beer flight if you prefer beer over wine. Have a chat to wine maker and owner Matt Rechner if he is around and learn more about their business.
We continue our way to The Cube at d’Arenberg where you get to have an experience of a different kind. Explore their Alternate Realities Museum, which is a contemporary art gallery, and discover unusual details of their interior designs. You also get to taste a selection of their excellent wines whilst enjoying 360-degree views of the region.
Our lunch stop is at Leconfield Wines, where you are invited to try some of their much-awarded wines before enjoying a delicious platter made from local and imported produce.
At our last stop you can choose between a tasting of four wines, a drink paddle of cider, pale ale, alcoholic ginger beer and hard lemonade or a paddle of four beers, all of which are offered at Red Poles. Just let us know what you feel like on the day.
If time permits, we include a stroll along the main street in McLaren Vale where you can visit any of these gourmet food places: The Almond Train, Menz Confectionary, the Olive Shop or Blessed Cheese, to name a few.
After a relaxing drive home, we arrive in Adelaide city at approximately 4:30pm.
